The offline marketing campaign for GTA V was insane. This all makes sense the more you think about it. The purpose of this early start of offline marketing is clear. We also don’t know what’s in the boxes (cue impersonations of Brad Pitt in Seven). We don’t know which countries the promo material arrived in yet. The most time-consuming goal is to reach rank 50 which is a grind, but it isn't that bad. Online can be really fun and interesting, provided you have enough players with you that match your play-style.
